New sender IR-LED component for the following Bang & Olufsen models
In Beogram 6006, 8000, 8002 this part will replace the sender LED inside the opto housing reading the interrupter at the end of the threaded carriage shaft.
If the original component is bad, the Beogram will not stop the carriages travel at the beginning of the record, but instead keep travelling leftwards until it can’t go any further.
Depending on the version, this part will also replace the sender LED in the opto reading the tachodisc (speed encoder).
If the original component is bad, the platter will typically spin very fast, out of control.
Because the original tacho opto component was meant to be replaced as a complete assy, a little modification (cutting the plastic housing) is needed to remove the old component.
In Beomaster 8000 this part will replace the sender LED in the opto components reading the rotating volume and tuning wheels.
A bad original component will cause the affected wheel to be no longer working or, if the component is marginal, only sporadically working.
